I have practiced marriage therapy for nearly thirty years with an ever-growing conviction that nearly all marriages are worth fighting for. Our throwaway culture makes it hard for couples to sustain life long intimacy and commitment, but I believe that most couples can succeed if they make saving their marriage their highest priority. As a therapist, I work with people’s strengths rather than emphasizing their weaknesses. Being invited into the inner world of a marriage is one of the great privileges of my life.

Along with marriage therapy, I am an active participant in forming the religious education in my religious denomination, working on citizen healthcare issues around diabetes, depression, family life (including overscheduled childhoods, weddings) and being a frequent guest speaker for community, organizational, governmental and corporate meetings.
